When does content become your own – in a broader context of the term?

"Don't upload *existing* images, content, memes, drawings, screenshots, art etc. on the wiki. All content must be of your own making. This allows for the upload of edits, and using/collaging found material, so there's plenty of flexibility."

Where is the line between

"Your own" and "Not your own" -?

For example, I did not write this paragraph, maybe I took it from somewhere else. Does it mean that I'm using content that isn't mine? Does that mean I need to delete this content? Hm... I feel like in a broader sense anything I do is borrowing information and transforming it into something by placing it in a different context. The words (ABC) and the language (International English) I use are not my creation. Does that mean I can't use them?

Imagine Wikipedia, but all content is your own *

Maybe there is this old notion of intent, as in you maybe be operating on several degrees, (let's say of murder?) You have the 1st degree (murder) that have the clear, premeditated notion and planned out the act of killing somebody, 2nd degree (murder) would be intending to carry out this, but not really planning it all out, a rather spontaneous act, and finally the 3rd degree (murder) would be to act in a rather frisky way but the taking of that life is accidental You have the 1st degree (taking an original material from someone else) that have the clear, premeditated notion and planned out the act of killing somebody, 2nd degree (taking an original material from someone else)would be intending to carry out this, but not really planning it all out, a rather spontaneous act, and finally the 3rd degree (taking an original material from someone else) would be to act in a rather frisky way but the taking of that life is accidental

Sometimes you are doing it one way, and in another times you find doing it in the other way. A bit like this idea of the Radical Cutup that there is no point doing totally new things anymore, you play with existing things anyway

But then the notion of intent rathers becomes important. How you are framing/collaging it which makes it into something totally different. Is it just one pixel that you've moved, or does it needs a total brainwash away by you, the artiste in order to make it kosher?
